Testimonial:
Leonard Suppes,
thank you very much for your Golf Cart/ Steadicam Cart. It started
as a plain old golf cart, you and your team made a very diverse rear facing,
or front facing hard mount rig. With the speed rail front and back option and
the adjustable seat, it is a very comfortable rig. It held my rig, a boom
man up in the front outrigger, the driver and a director watching a hand
and me held monitor.
On Hidden Palms we employed your cart on a 100 (plus) yard walk and talk
many, many times. On numerous driving shots with bikes and even a Corvette
convertible. On the golf course across greens, roughs, fairways, just incredible.
The actors were sometimes as close as 4 feet, no sound problems. The driver/dolly
grip had a monitor from which to gage his speed and size of frame. The cart
was very quiet and the acceleration manageable with steadicam compensation.
The over all effect was beautiful. It made me as an operator look good and
with up to 10 takes per scene. Most of all, it made me a lot happier physically,
I would have had to walk backward for miles and miles over the course of
the 7 episodes.
The golf cart is a definite must in production value. It allows the camera
operator to be smooth in operation and tireless. If you were to ever offer
these in production, I would ask that you put me on the top of that list.
Sincerely,
Stefan von Bjorn SOC.
(A camera/steadicam operator, Hidden Palms)
